Sophia Hunt

Board Member

Sophia Hunt is a recent graduate of Harvard Law School. Through her professional work and academic research, Sophia is committed to advocating for due process and quality legal representation for all.

She received her A.B. in History & Literature from Harvard College in 2019. After graduating, she began a doctoral program in Sociology at Stanford. Sophia spent three years at Stanford studying the intersection between race, class and inequality in the criminal legal system. Her research deepened her understanding of the factors that drive mass incarceration and proliferate wrongful convictions in the United States. She received her M.A. in Sociology from Stanford in 2021.

Inspired to advocate on behalf of individuals more directly, Sophia pursued and received a J.D. from Harvard Law School. She served as the 138th President of the Harvard Law Review. Sophia was also a member of Harvard Defenders and the Criminal Justice Institute, where she represented indigent clients in the greater Boston area.
